Cheddi Jagan International Airport(CJIA) Temporary Cooling 1
This project involved the implementation of temporary cooling systems at an airport, emphasizing collaboration and responsiveness to client needs throughout the process. Communication was maintained through regular email correspondence and attendance at key meetings, ensuring alignment on all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) matters.
Key activities included:
Liaising with the client to address MEP concerns before and during the construction phase.
Revising the electrical design to meet project specifications and compliance standards.
Updating the Bill of Quantities to accurately reflect project requirements.
Guiding the architecture team to ensure the successful completion of all electrical drawings.
Conducting multiple site visits to assess progress and implementation of the systems.
Supervising the electrical work to ensure quality and adherence to the timeline.
Completely redesigning the temporary air conditioning solution in the departure area to enhance operational efficiency and passenger comfort.
The combined efforts resulted in a well-coordinated approach to establishing effective temporary cooling systems at the airport, meeting the challenges presented during the project lifecycle.
